A former co-worker and good friend of mine is releasing a new album in November. Kevin sent me and a few others the 4 track press sampler a few days ago and encouraged us to help spread the word and give the songs away to anyone who wanted a copy.

I’ve been a fan of Akshun (Kevin’s stage name) for years now and I’m still impressed. His first official release, Diamond District, was voted one of the best SC releases of the year.  Since then, he has gone underground, releasing 2 mixtapes - “Speaks for Itself” and “Let’s Be Clear Vol. I” (with Dan Johns).  For more on Dan Johns, see his website.

Welcome to the new podcast, tech3.  Consider it a combination of Geek Life and Whatever!, since we’re quitting Geek Life (Patrick’s going over-seas).

Basically, tech3 will feature 3 topics per show.  The first will be something related to the blog, the second will be something related to social networking, and the third will be a random tech news, how-to, or article.

Whatever! is a new podcast that I’ve started, aimed at being a quick (under 5 minutes) audio clip that will highlight various news stories, give a short “how-to”, or just talk about something I have recently discovered.

You will notice that there is a new page at the top, cunningly enoughed titled “Whatever!”.  If you haven’t caught on yet, this is the new podcast page.  You can listen to all episodes on that page, and hopefully soon you will be able to download them in iTunes.
